Fusion Bond Epoxy Corrugated (FBEC) Steel Tanks with PVC Liner Membrane
Fusion Bond Epoxy Corrugated (FBEC) Steel Tanks with PVC Liner Membrane
Fusion Bond Epoxy Corrugated Steel Tanks with PVC Liner (FBEC) from Rostfrei Steels are manufactured using advanced Resicoat Fusion Bond Epoxy (FBE) coating technology on high-quality corrugated mild steel sheets. This innovative coating process significantly improves the durability and corrosion resistance of steel, making the tanks suitable for long-term water storage in industrial, municipal, commercial, and agricultural applications.
The Fusion Bond Epoxy coating is thermally fused to both sides of the steel panels, forming a durable non-sacrificial protective layer that resists corrosion, atmospheric weathering, and abrasion. Water is stored safely inside a premium PVC membrane liner, preventing direct contact between the stored liquid and the steel structure while extending the operational life of the tank.
FBEC Tanks are Rostfrei’s patented modular storage tank solution designed for reliable clear water storage in normal to slightly corrosive environments.
FBEC Tank Construction
FBEC (Fusion Bond Epoxy Corrugated) Tanks are manufactured using corrugated steel sheets joined together with specialized nuts and bolts. The stored water is contained inside a durable PVC membrane liner fixed within the steel shell.
These tanks are designed for installation heights of up to 12 metres.
The wall sheet thickness ranges from 0.8 mm to 2.5 mm, with higher thickness achieved through sheet fusing technology for enhanced structural performance.
FBEC tanks are installed on a reinforced concrete ring beam foundation with compacted sand filling at the centre, providing excellent stability and economical construction.
The internal PVC liner protects the steel shell from corrosion, chemical reactions, and external contaminants, resulting in a significantly longer service life.
Design Standards for FBEC Tanks
Design Standards for FBEC Tanks
AS-2304:2019: is an Australian standard that focuses on the design and construction of above-ground and underground storage tanks for liquids.
Adhering to these standards ensures that FBEC tanks meet the necessary safety, quality, and performance criteria required for various water applications. Compliance with standard code also helps ensure consistency and interoperability in the design and construction of FBEC tanks across different projects and locations.
